The number one question that we’ve been asked when we are out and about is, “Do you believe there is a Sasquatch or Bigfoot?” I’ll be honest I get more a kick out of how it is asked. The question is asked in one the following ways: hushed voice, direct (like well of course you do, right?!) or lastly in a tone of skepticism. So, here it is! I have never seen a Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Skunk Ape, or The Old Men of the Mountains, but in my interactions with many of y’all and the stories that have been shared with me, like Fox Mulder from X Files, “I want to believe” and hope that one day I’ll actually see one and add my experience to the many others!
For now, like the rest of all y’all in the Overlanding Community, finding that EPIC camping spot or road trip is akin to finding the ever elusive Sasquatch. It’s the adventure of the unknown, the mystery of what lies around the bend, the what if, disconnecting and reconnecting with what really matters most and just doing what it takes to GET OUT!
Since we started Sasquatch Overland, just over a year ago, and created the ever growing popular original SASQUATCH “GET OUT” hat, patch and merchandise we have connected and made some lasting friendships with fellow Squatchies (Yup that is what I’ve decided to call those of us that believe because it just fits!) So, if you haven’t had a Sasquatch encounter keep Getting Out, exploring and discovering everything this great world has to offer and make new connections along the way. For those that have, keep the legend alive and share the stories and experiences, heck, I love ‘em!!
