It’s the start of another new year and I’m not about to try and guilt you into setting goals or making resolutions, but I am going to try and encourage you to try something new! I could go on and on and quote endless scientific research about their benefits, but if you’re reading this, you already know. I’m just going to encourage you to include the following, at least once this coming year! Why, because you do it just once and you’ll likely do it again!
- Get outside and connect with nature
- Get in the water as much as possible
- Add one thing to your “Bucket List” that is relatively close, to where you live, and go!
- Do something just slightly out of your comfort zone
- Reconnect with an old friend, take them with you on your next outdoor adventure
- Make a new friend – there are a lot of really cool people in this world
- Try a new food
- My favourite – Do something that scares you! Even if it is just a little bit
If you haven’t noticed a bit of theme in the the items above it’s all about experiences! Experiences, especially the ones that stretch us a bit, are the ones that create the deepest memories. Creating memories is what life is all about and doing with family and friends is even better!
